The Derwent Dambuster Challenge 2008 is a prestigious 10 mile event around the beautiful Upper Derwent Valley which aims to raise money for Challenge Cancer Through Adventure.

The 3rd Derwent Dambuster will take place on Saturday 26th April 2008, starting below the Derwent Dam wall.

The Derwent Dambuster follows a 10-mile course around the Derwent and Howden reservoirs in the beautiful Upper Derwent valley, starting and finishing by Derwent Dam, near Fairholmes Car Park.
The route is mostly flat, with a few short gentle slopes. The first part of the course is on rough surfaced tracks, and the second part on a tarmac road. The route will be marshalled or signed throughout. The minimum age for entries is 18 on the day of the event.

Entries are restricted to the first 200 entries received before the closing date of 1st April 2008. The entry fee is £10 and all proceeds will go to Challenge Cancer Through Adventure.
The Derwent Dambuster Challenge is a non-competitive event. Valuable spot prizes will be awarded. For a complete list of last year's finishers

The entry fee is £10. You don't have to raise sponsorship money, but if you must, sponsorship forms are available here

 

If you wish to make donation, without having to go running round Derwent Dam, or you receive a donation on behalf of the Charity, we can claim gift aid (a refund of the tax paid) from the Inland Revenue. We need the donor to complete the Donations Gift Aid Form (click to download), and send the completed form to the address on the form with each donation. Please make sure that all the information is provided in order that we can make the claim.
