As mentioned in our last post, this year’s Derwent Dambuster race will be taking place on the morning of Saturday 9th May.
We urgently require volunteer marshals to help on the day of the race. In order that the race is run efficiently and safely, marshals are there to support the runners, provide help and first aid when required. They also help with car parking, providing refreshments at the end of the race (including the famous cake stand), and many other tasks which make the race such a success.
The race is usually over by around 12:30, so you’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy the delights of the Upper Derwent valley. Please note that 9th May is the bank holiday weekend this year due to the VE-day anniversary.
We are, as always, very grateful to the volunteers who have supported Derwent Dambuster over the years. Without their help, the race would not be possible.
