Many thanks to all those who took part in Saturday’s Derwent Dambuster Trail Race.
We only have provisional times at the moment, but a full list of times will be posted when they are confirmed.
We can, however, confirm the men’s and women’s winners and runners-up, who are:
Men’s winner: Chris Bevan – in a time of 57:29 (five seconds off the record)
Women’s winner: Hannah Sharpe – 1:15:36
Men’s runner-up: Darren King – 59:24
Women’s runner-up: Vikki Murphy – 1:16:17
Congratulations to you all.
Many Thanks to everyone for you support
Without the help and support of everyone involved, the Derwent Dambuster race would not be possible. The race proceeds help to fund the challenges which CCTA provides, and John’s inspiring talk before the race showed just how important these challenges are.
So, firstly, many thanks to all runners and walkers. We hope you enjoyed the event.
In particular, we’d like to thank all the marshals and helpers for giving up their Saturday morning to guide and support the runners, provide water along the way, organize car-parking, registration, timing, photography, signage, prizes, and, of course, the cake stand. And thanks too to all the bakers for the hours they spent in front of their ovens – an impressive array of cakes yet again!
We’d also like to thank the following for their support and help:
Cotswold Outdoors – for their continued support of the race and providing the race numbers and event shelter
Peak Park – for allowing us to stage the race in such a fabulous setting – thanks to Paul Wetton and all at Fairholmes
The Anglers, Bamford – for supplying tables for the cake stand
JLS Mobile Bars – for the tea and coffee bar which was a great success this year
Lastly, many thanks to the organisers, Lorna, Chris and Keith, for their considerable efforts in putting together another successful event.
